Natalie Portman’s prospects after an Oscar, a baby, and a marriage are picking up steam.
The actress, already expected to team up with new-Hollywood heavy Michael Fassbender for a sort of revenge western, is in talks to join a member of the...uhm...older guard for the feature adaptation of In the Garden of Beasts, the Erik Larson best-seller about William Dodd, the U.S. ambassador to Germany during the rise of the Nazi party.
Tom Hanks is attached to play Dodd. Portman would play his daughter Martha, who ends up in a relationship with the head of the Gestapo.
The Artist’s Michel Hazanavicius is thisclose to signing on to direct.
