Heads up, Upper East Siders: Lonely Boy is turning into Rocker Boy.Yup, Gossip Girl’s resident brooder, Penn Badgley, will star as Jeff Buckley in the biographical drama Greetings from Tim Buckley (guess that rumor was right, huh).
Production on the project – which focuses on the days leading up to Buckley’s famous performance at a tribute concert in honor of his father, Tim, in Brooklyn in 1991 – will begin in New York in August.
