Heath’s Last Hurrah

The first official photo of Heath Ledger from his final film, Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, has been released.

Ledger died last January while production was underway. His last completed role was that of the Joker in the box office and critical success The Dark Knight.

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, and Jude Law subsequently were added to the cast of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus to complete Ledger’s role, taking on different aspects of his character.

The three actors donated their income from the making of the film to Ledger’s daughter, Matilda.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus will be released in 2009.
