Anne Hathway is getting married to a diplomat.
For TV, of course.

Inspired by Steil’s own experience, the novel centers on the kidnapping of an American woman in the Middle East. In real life, the author’s husband, a former U.K. ambassador to Yemen, Timothy Torlot, who, in 2010, was the target of a suicide bomber (she and their daughter were taken to Jordan for safekeeping until Torlot’s assignment came to an end).
