A lot already has been written about how the shoot for Academy Award-winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s follow-up to Birdman was tough because he and his much-celebrated cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki decided to work on scenes chronologically and using natural light only.
So we know that, just like we knew that the film would star Leonardo DiCaprio as a fur trapper from the 19th century who gets mauled by a grizzly bear and is left for dead by some associates who, btw, also rob him of all his s---. He survives, though, and as it would happen, he embarks on quest redemption, safety, and payback on all that wronged him, which includes Tom Hardy (I think).
Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina) and Will Poulter (The Maze Runner) also co-star.
Check out the first teaser for the film, and make sure you catch it when it opens on Christmas Day. It is sure to factor into the upcoming awards season.
