See, the sophomore outing of last season’s breakout CW hit The Flash is getting down with Sears.
The actor (Showtime’s Masters of Sex) is joining the show as Jay Garrick, the first DC Comics character to assume the Flash persona. Sears’ version of Jay Garrick, o.k.a. the Crimson Comet, will be a mysterious figure who arrives in Central City to warn Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen and his friends of a looming danger that he can’t even begin to fathom stopping alone.
Meanwhile, Shantel VanSanten (The CW’s The Messengers) has been tapped for a part as well. She will play Patty Spivot, a police officer and science enthusiast who will serve as a new love interest for Barry.
