Champion of the Artist

So Krysten Ritter got evicted from Apt. 23.

She’ll live on.

Tim Burton has cast the actress opposite Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz iBig Eyes, his forthcoming film about Margaret and Walter Keane, the couple whose paintings of large-eyed children became one of the first mass-marketed art things back in the ’50s and ’60s.

Ritter will play Adams’ character’s BFF, a free-spirit who encourages her artistic friend to come out of her shell and take the credit she deserved (Margaret Keane was actually the one doing the painting, but her business-savvy husband would claim ’em as his).

Sounds a bit like a stock part, but we all need one of those friends, and I bet Ritter will make her work in this shine.

Update: Yay!

As it weren’t cool enough to just get Krysten Ritter news, we got some cool Krysten Ritter in the Veronica Mars movie news on June 14: Girlfriend’s gonna be in, reprising her role as Gia Goodman.

Again: Yay!
