Clint Eastwood is playing with a little summer blockbuster-y F/X in his latest fall entry Hereafter.
The trailer dropped today, and as you will see that’s Matt Damon playing a reluctant psychic living in San Francisco, while Bryce Dallas Howard plays the object of his affection.
The movie, written by Peter Morgan (The Queen) follows three separate plotlines grappling with mortality. One of them is that of a Parisian anchorwoman who nearly died in the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004.
“It’s about people dealing with tragedy in different ways,'” Eastwood said. “But it’s also got this hope thing going for it, too.”
Hereafter opens on Oct. 22.
