Oprah Winfrey kicked off her farewell season earlier this week – oh, by the by, did anyone notice the TV promos for it didn’t include any footage of the Big O at her heaviest?I digress, I know.
Such a momentous occasion (you know her audience is calling this final season precisely just that) means there will be plenty of surprise moments coming up.
The book industry will get one tomorrow when Winfrey reportedly will announce Jonathan Franzen’s Freedom as her Oprah’s Book club official selection, which is particularly kinda jaw-dropping in light of the row the two had back in 2001 over The Corrections.
Bygones, huh….
