A New Kind of Sherlock

Sometimes I just heart PBS.

Coming up next on the network’s Masterpiece Mystery addicting schedule is a modern-day-set take on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes character titled, simply enough,
Sherlock.

The sleuth, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, now roams the streets of contemporary London as the world’s first consulting detective, one who works with his new roommate, Afghanistan war vet James Watson (Martin Freeman) solving all manner of complicated crimes.

Three feature-length episodes of Sherlock will premiere on PBS beginning on Oct. 24:



With luck, we’ll get plenty more Sherlock for years to come.
