So Far the 2012 Nominees Are...

The Oscar nominations will be announced in not too long this morning, so I figured I’d recap who the producers, writers, and directors have said are in the running for best of 2012. Ditto the Brits.

Let’s see, the Producers Guild of America has liked Argo, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Les Misérables, Li of Pi, Lincoln, Moonrise Kingdom, Silver Linings Playbook, Skyfall, and Zero Dark Thirty.

The Directors Guild nominated Ben Affleck for Argo, Kathryn Bigelow for Zero Dark Thirty, Tom Hooper for Les Misérables, Ang Lee for Life of Pi, and Steven Spielberg for Lincoln.

And Flight, Looper, The Master, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower joined most of the above in the running for gold with Writers Guild nominations.

On the BAFTA front, Lincoln dominated the field of nominees.

You can expect to find out what wins what from now until Academy Awards time at the end of February.

You can find out when every award is announced by GTSing like I would if I wasn’t so sleepy right now.
