MTV Feels Superbad

Talk about doing good: Superbad has the most nominations going into this year’s 17th Annual MTV Movie Awards.

Last year’s late-summer sleeper hit is up for buckets of Golden Popcorn in a handful of categories including Best Movie, Best Male Performance (for Michael Cera and Jonah Hill, pictured at right), and Best Breakthrough Performance (for Christopher Mintz-Plasse, a.k.a. “McLovin”).

Juno follows close behind with four nominations, including Best Female Performance (for Ellen Page).

Also vying for awards are American Gangster’s Denzel Washington (Best Villain), Enchanted’s Amy Adams (Best Comedic Performance), and Transformers’ Megan Fox (Breakthrough Performance), among others.

This year’s ceremony will be hosted by Mike Myers, and will air on June 1.
