Rock Goes the Popcorn

I still say they’re taking liberties for not coming to Miami on tour, but one place Coldplay are going this summer is L.A., for June 1’s MTV Movie Awards.

The band will perform “Violet Hill,” the first single from their new album, Viva La Vida (due out on June 17) during the show. The Pussycat Dolls also will take to the stage.

Leading nominee Superbad is up for buckets of Golden Popcorn in a handful of categories including Best Movie.

But back to Coldplay: They have to announce a Miami date. They just have to, don’t you know, don’t you know.
