Grabbed a Boy, Grabbed a Girl

Madonna performed a 32-minute set comprising a handful of old and new songs from Hardy Candy at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City last night.

Word from a super-fan who was there but was not quoted in this New York Times article, is the show was “amazing.”

The music was “too loud,” but “Candy Shop” was a “great opener.”

Oh really.

“’Miles Away’ didn’t translate as well on stage, but ‘4 Minutes’ [performed with Justin Timberlake] and ‘Music’ were amazing. I could’ve done without the rock ‘Hung Up,’ though.”

I’m still stumped over that “Miles Away” comment, but do tell more.

“‘Give It 2 Me’ was the showstopper.”

Super-fan also spotted Fran Drescher and designer Zac Posen in the audience. S’ppose they thought the music was too loud?

Update: The set at Roseland Ballroom actually was 38 minutes long. And I hear details for M’s new tour definitely will be announced the week of May 5-9.

CANDY SHOP's my new favourite song! This has to be a single! When's the tour?
