You will do well to remember the name, for the 13-year-old 12 Years a Slave actress who goes by it is going to star in Ava DuVernay’s adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time.
The newcomer will portray Meg, the young girl at the heart of Madeleine L’Engle fantasy classic, whose father, a government scientist, goes missing after working on a mysterious object o.k.a. a tesseract. The tesseract turns out to have the power to transport a person into a fifth dimension in which all these unknown planets orbit – which, of course, she uses to join the search party for dear ol’ dad.
Oprah is already on board the project, as Mrs. Which, and, evidently, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling are in the running for a couple of parts.
