Angelina Jolie has filed from divorce from Brad Pitt!
Yes...Brangelina are over – and here comes a new wave of Jennifer Aniston-related cover stories (this must be so annoying to L’Aniston, whose own marriage to Justin Theroux lately also has been called into tabloid question).
La Jolie filed yesterday, after 12 years together and two years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences and asking for primary and physical custody of their brood of six (the docs note that the couple separated on Sept. 15, and she is not seeking spousal or child support). She reportedly suggested that Pitt get all the visitation he wants.
And thus the question becomes: Was it the legality of marriage that broke the back of Brangelina?
Follow-up: Should the Jolie-Pitts have stayed in Kurt & Goldietown? Or was the writing on the wall all along?

Update: Click here to read the statement that Brad Pitt put out in the wake of the news. He, of course, is asking for privacy on behalf of his six kids with La Jolie, and allows that he is saddened by turn of events.
