Off the Chain

Quentin Tarantino fans, this one’s for us.

It’s the first teaser trailer for the coolest director in Hollywood’s Christmas release Django Unchained, a Mississippi-set spaghetti western about a to-be-freed-freed Southern slave (Jamie Foxx) attempting to recover his wife (Kerry Washington, from TV’s Scandal) from a nasty plantation owner...and the reluctant-at-first rapport he develops with a German bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) along the way.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s also in the film, playing that Django-wife-owning deranged plantation owner who makes his toughest slaves fight to the death, gladiator-style, for the fun of it. (Oh, that QT....)

Looks.

Awesome.

And I know Tarantino will do a fine job of balancing his trademark spark with an appropriate sensitivity toward the material.
