The Voice coach is not only making his TV acting debut on FX’s American Horror Story next season, he’s also looking to make a splash on the big screen.

The budding actor has signed on to star opposite Keira Knightley, as her kinda-mean bf, in Can a Song Save Your Life?, the next film from Once director John Carney.

Mark Ruffalo and Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit) are set to co-star, he as a music producer and she as...uh...I don’t know.
