Elizabeth Olsen is having a good time.
The indie breakout – I’ll tell ya all about her Martha Marcy May Marlene tomorrow – is set to star in a long-gestating adaptation of Émile Zola’s Thérèse Raquin that Glenn Close has been attached to for a bit and a half now.
Olsen will play the titular role in the 1867 Paris-set dark, erotic thriller, while Close will take on the role of the aunt who forces her into a loveless marriage to her sick, spoiled first cousin. (Thérèse, alas, becomes interested in her husband’s BFF, Laurent.)
