The Book of Mormon, the musical comedy from the masterminds behind South Park, scored a leading 14 Tony Award nominations this morning, including Best Musical.
The show will go up against Catch Me If You Can, The Scottsboro Boys, and Sister Act in the top category at the 65th Annual Tony Awards next month.
Meanwhile, Good People, Jerusalem, The Motherf**ker with the Hat, and War Horse will vie for the Best Play prize.
Other nominees include Arcadia and The Normal Heart, both up for Best Revival of a Play (Billy Crudup, from the former, got a nod for his featured work), and Laura Benanti and Patti LuPone, who both were recognized for their featured turns in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.

Unsurprisingly, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark did not get any love...but, and this will come as a bit of a shocker, neither did Daniel Radcliffe, who has impressed many with his musical debut in the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
