Puppet Therapy

The Beaver is finally coming out – on March 23 – so all of y’all Mel Gibson haters (and the lovers that are still out there) better get ready.

This is, of course, Jodie Foster’s latest directorial, a.k.a. the movie that has the misfortune of starring the socially embattled Gibson.

But, set aside all the drama off screen for a moment, The Beaver actually looks like it will be worth your while.

It’s a dark comedy in which the actor plays as a man who copes with a nervous breakdown by creating an alter ego in the form of a beaver puppet (Foster plays his long-suffering wife, while Anton Yelchin plays their son).

Will you give it a shot? Gibson looks to be at his best, at least on screen. He could have a comeback in his hands....
