The Lady GaGa train keeps on rollin’.
The singer broke a record this morning when she received 13 nominations for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards this morning – the most ever in a single year and the most by any act this year.
Among her videos singled out for hardware: “Bad Romance” and “Telephone,” featuring Beyoncé – both are up for Video of the Year – and “Video Phone (Extended Remix),” a Beyoncé joint that’s up for Best Pop Video.
Eminem came in at sorta-distant second, with eight nods (for “Not Afraid”) including Video of the Year and Best Male Video.
First-time VMA nominees included Ke$ha, Drake, Florence + the Machine (whose “Dog Days Are Over” plays over the Eat Pray Love trailer – and I heart it), and Justin Bieber.
The MTV VMAs will air live from L.A. on Sept. 12.
