The Gay Brother

Dallas Roberts (3:10 To Yuma, Showtime’s The L Word) has been tapped to play Alicia’s (Emmy nominee Julianna Margulies) never-before-seen gay brother next season on The Good Wife.

The actor could potentially recur.

Lest you think it, though, exec producer Robert King says the character’s (an Oregon math teacher) sexual orientation won’t be a thing.

“We just thought [it would be interesting] if it didn’t matter,” he said. “Everybody around them thinks it’s an issue between them, but there’s no issue. We kind of like that it voids expectations of what will happen between them.”

One thing is for sure: Roberts’ presence will shed some light on Alicia’s background.
