Man on the Comeback

So why was Jim Carrey all smiles as he sat in the audience of last night’s American Idol?

Well, perhaps it has got something to do with Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who!, the sure-to-be-blockbuster opening tomorrow.

It seems that after a couple of flops – like 2005’s Fun with Dick and Jane, and 2007’s The Number 23 – and some projects that were put on hold or scrapped, the funny guy’s back on track.

Later this year he will appear in Yes Man, and he is attached to what I think is a stop-motion – à la Beowulf – remake of A Christmas Carol.
