This won’t be for a comedy, though. Statham is circling the adaptation of Steve Alten’s MEG: A Novel of Deep Terror, the story of a prehistoric 70-ft., 30-ton megaladon – get the title? ;) – terrorizing folks along the coast of China.
The action-star actor will play a Navy deep-sea sub pilot who once came thisclose to the deadly beast, or something like that, or crazy enough to go after it.
Director Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure) will be calling the shots.
