Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro is going to star in the adaptation of the upcoming TJ English tome, as José Miguel Battle Sr., a.k.a. El Padrino, the leader of The Corporation that makes up the Cuban American underworld (the book’s full title is The Corporation: An Epic Story of the Cuban American Underworld, after all).
Leonardo DiCaprio is set to produce, while Dave Matthews (HBO’s Vynil) is handling the script. The book by English is due out next winter, btw.
