Defiantly In the Shell

A little more than a year after signing on to star, Scarlett Johansson is finally, controversially in production on Ghost In the Shell.

Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) is helming the adaptation of the popular eponymous Japanese anime movie, and the actress is portraying a member of a covert-ops unit of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission that specializes in flighting tech-related crime.

In a deconstructed-black bob wig.

Because Japan.

Ghost In the Shell – co-starring Sam Riley Michael Pitt and Juliette Binoche – has been scheduled for a March 2017 release.
