Hugo star Asa Butterfield has tweet-confirmed that he’s got another starring role in his near future.The young up-and-comer will play Ender Wiggin in the adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s sci-fi novel Ender’s Game.
Beset by insectoid aliens, Earth is in need of a savior in the future, and so Butterfield will play a strategic genius who, while attending military training school, reveals himself to be the one to lead the planet in fending off the out-of-worldly invaders.
The movie, which will be directed by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), is due out in spring 2013.
