Lily James (Cinderella) has signed on to play American-born swimmer Gertrude Ederle, a.k.a. the Queen of the Waves, in a new biopic titled Young Woman and the Sea.
Ederle, some of y’all swimming history buffs will know, became the first woman to swim across the English Channel in 1926.
