Of Haunts and Houses

Crimson Peak.

It is the film a fervent section of the fandom has been waiting for with breath that is bated.

For realsies. It’s been more than two years since we first learned we needed to get excited about this one.

Directed by Guillermo del Toro and starring Benedict Cumberbatch Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Emma Stone Mia Wasikowska (Madame Bovary), and del Toro’s Pacific Rim stud, Charlie Hunnam, the upcoming gothic thriller revolves around a young novelist (Wasikowska) who, little by little realizes, that her dashing new husband (the Hiddle-hunk) is not everything he says he is – and neither is the old manor in which they live with his beyond-intense sister (Chastain). Hunnam co-stars as handsome doctor crushing on our heroine.

Check out the trailer now, and save the date, for Crimson Peak opens in theaters on Oct. 16.
