If the Tony winner keeps playing his cards the way he is, it just might be.
Hot on the heels of his supporting turn in last year’s My Week with Marilyn, the guy scored the role of Marius in the upcoming Les Misérables. And now, from the scorch he’s generating off of that project, the Brit is set to co-star in Jupiter Rising.
Which, thematically, may polarize audiences and critics alike, since it’s a joint by the Wachowski siblings, but, hey, at least it and its actors will look good.
The movie, set at a time when humans are at the bottom of totem pole, would have Channing Tatum playing a bounty hunter named Django – Trend Alert! Thanks, Quentin Tarantino! – Wise who targets and then falls for the Russian immigrant Jupiter (Mila Kunis), a woman hated by the alien Queen of the Universe.
Don’t ask me who or what Redmayne would play because that bit information is not available yet.
