Aaron Guzikowski’s Prisoners, which Oscar-nominated director Denis Villeneuve (Incendies) is directing, is quite the hot commodity in Hollywood these days.
The project – about a small-town carpenter (Hugh Jackman) who takes matters into his own rugged hands when a cocky cop (Jake Gyllenhaal) fails to investigate the kidnapping of his daughter and her BFF in a swift-enough manner – already has attracted Melissa Leo, Viola Davis, Maria Bello, and Paul Dano to its ensemble.
And now comes word that another celebrated thespian is on board, to play a role about which little has been released.
That would be Hustle & Flow star Terrence Howard.
I am going to take a wild guess and figure that he could be playing the father of Jackman’s daughter’s friend.
Guess we’ll find out for sure in about 10 months or so. The movie goes into production this winter for a fall release.
