Jennifer’s Alright for Saturday Night

I’m sooo into Jennifer Lawrence hosting the first new Saturday Night Live of the new year.

Word of this gives me a chance to offer a mini-rave about Silver Linings Playbook.

Saw it, loved it...didn’t get to write about it because I’ve been busy moving from one hemisphere to another.

The actress is terrific in it.

She plays an emotionally damaged widow who brings Bradley Cooper’s recently discharged mental patient back to life – the films funny and touching, and you won’t know where it’s going until it gets there, triumphantly – and she and her cast and her director, David O. Russell, deserve nothing but good things this awards season.

So go see it ASAP. You’ll wanna watch it again. Trust.

Anyway, set your digital recording devices or stay home on Jan. 19 to catch Lawrence as she brings her funny to SNL. The Lumineers will be on as the musical act for the night.
