The buzzy My Week with Marilyn, starring Michelle Williams, is a-comin’ – and now we have us a trailer to know what to expect.
The film follows the time Hollywood’s most legendary blonde spent in the U.K. in 1956, the heads she turned during her journey, and the connection she made (and the heart she may have broken) while shooting The Prince and the Showgirl for director Sir Laurence Olivier (Kenneth Branagh).
That heart I mentioned belonged to Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne), a lowly assistant on set who escorted M2 around the country after her new husband, playwright Arthur Miller, left for Paris. Love would blossom between the two, but it wouldn’t last, of course.
When you’re the most famous woman in the world, it seems, the world owns and consumes you, and you just can’t escape it:
Expect My Week with Marilyn to open around the holidays, and for everyone to have a take on Williams’ Marilyn.
