A non-profit theater company in New York reportedly is honoring Glee star (and Great White Way vet) Lea Michele by creating a show with the actress in mind.
Reed Prescott, executive director of the New York Theatre Barn, has confirmed that the brunette belter helped inspire their new musical Speargrove Presents, based on a real-life incident in which a town blocked a high school production of Rent.
He says that Michele is the best woman for the job “because she has Broadway chops.”
And girlfriend’s white hot right now, too. I’m sure that has something to do with it as well.
