Big Love star Ginnifer Goodwin is giving it her all attempting to succeed where many before her – Jennifer Garner, Reese Witherspoon, I’m looking at ya – have tried and sorta failed: In the Gunning for Julia Roberts’ Crown as America’s Sweetheart Race.The actress, who scored major rom-com points with last year’s He’s Just Not That Into You, has been cast as the lead in Something Borrowed.
Goodwin will play a New York lawyer who falls for her BFF’s fiancé in the movie based on a novel by Emily Giffin. Production is set to begin this spring.
