Put a Grammy on It

It’s definitely that time of the year....

Nominations for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards were announced tonight on a live CBS television special.

Because why not, right?

And, surprise, surprise, Beyoncé came out as the leading nominee with 10 nods, followed by zeitgeist darling Taylor Swift, who got eight, and the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell, and Kanye West, who each received six.

The Eye will broadcast the awards live on Jan. 31. Click here for more nomination deets, but know that your girl Lady GaGa scored nominations in many of the major categories, including Album of the Year for The Fame and Song and Record of the Year for “Poker Face.”

And last but not least (never!), Madonna scored a Best Dance Recording nod for her addictive “Celebration”!

P.S.: Kathy Griffin’s ploy for a second nom in the Best Comedy Album category paid off: The comedian got hers for her Suckin’ It for The Holidays.
