Hurt-s So Good

I normally would never say this because I find the beginning of a new year rather depressing, but I cannot wait for January to get here.

That’s because next month marks the arrival on DVD of Kathryn Bigelow’s acclaimed The Hurt Locker, starring Jeremy Renner. (I wonder if it’s available On Demand....)

The Boston Society of Film Critics and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association both have named it 2009’s Best Picture, while the American Film Institute has named it among the 10 best of the year, and darn it, I wanna love it, too.
