Good Thing He Got Saved by the Bell

It’s not quite a Zack Attack reunion but Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s back, and he’s all grown up.

The erstwhile Zack Morris from the seminal Saved by the Bell is starring in Raising the Bar, a new TNT show premiering tonight.

I’m not crazy about the long brown hair – on the show he plays a lawyer...who looks like that? – but it sure is nice to see that Gosselaar, whose most recent résumé entries include stints in John from Cincinnati, Commander in Chief, and NYPD Blue, is a working actor.

Raising the Bar also co-stars Gosselaar’s fellow TV stars Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), Gloria Reuben (ER), and J. August Richards (Angel).
