And the Best Picture of 2013, Per New York, Is...

David O. Russell’s American Hustle is off to a winning start this awards season.

The New York Film Critics Circle shared earlier today its picks for the best of 2013, and the based-on-Abscam drama was named Best Picture, while its Jennifer Lawrence took the Best Supporting Actress honor.

Best Actor, Actress, and Supporting Actor went to Robert Redford for All Is Lost, Blue Jasmine’s Cate Blanchett, and Jared Leto for Dallas Buyers Club, respectively.

Steve McQueen was crowned Best Director for 12 Years a Slave.

The New York winners were announced hot on the heels of the Gotham Independent Film Awards on Dec. 3, which honored Inside Llewyn Davis, Dallas Buyers Club’s Matthew McConaughey, Short Term 12’s Brie Larson.
