From Action Icon to Democracy Icon

Former Bond girl Michelle Yeoh (Tomorrow Never Dies) could be turning political on us, at least on the big screen.

The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star is prepping to bring the story of Myanmar’s Aung San Suu Kyi to movie theaters around the world.

Yeoh reportedly met with the Nobel Peace laureate earlier this week. The actress spent a day with Suu Kyi as part of research for a project based on the life and work of the recently freed pro-democracy leader, who was released from under house arrest last month after more than seven years.

Luc Besson is said to be directing the biopic titled Into the Light.

May I suggest Damien Rice do the score? He has shown interest in the topic before....
