Kendrick Lamar is the one to beat.
The rapper racked up 11 Grammy nominations this morning, including Album of the Year for To Pimp a Butterfly. Taylor Swift and The Weeknd are close behind, with seven nods apiece (including Album of the Year for her smash hit official pop crossover, 1989, and for his Beauty Behind the Madness.
Courtney Barnett, James Bay, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly, and Meghan Trainor were all singled out for the Best New Artist category.
Madonna’s Rebel Heart was completely snubbed, except for the fact that Diplo, who collaborated with M on the project, is up for Non-Classical Producer of the Year.
And that is all I have to say on the topic.
