The Superman Returns star will play Ray Palmer, a.k.a. The Atom, during the upcoming third season of The CW’s Arrow.
From what I can see online, the character will be the new owner of Queen Consolidated and will have some mysterious plans for its Applied Sciences Division and may act as a love interest for Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) main gal everyday Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards).
Arrow will be back on the tube early in October.
On a somewhat-related note, Robbie Amell, the star of the defunct The Tomorrow People, has been tapped to appear on the Arrow spin-off The Flash, as the Ronnie Raymond half of the Firestorm team.
