Sorry, Entertainment Weekly, but I for one cannot wait to hear a final version of the Madonna demo that leaked yesterday, “Give Me All Your Love.”

The track is beyond-playful and old-school, but the magazine is calling it “not a good omen.”

Bitches, please – don’t play the stupid game. You know this is an M world and that you want to step into it.

Falling on His Sword

Brett Ratner is having a tough time these days.

The director saw his Tower Heist embroiled in some controversy before it was even released last weekend (something about the studio wanting to experiment with some exclusive pay-per-view business prior to opening Friday that upset some movie theaters...GTS), and then he went and put his foot in his mouth.

In a nutshell, Ratner essentially said, during a Q&A session while promoting the movie, that rehearsing is “for fags.” I think that was an attempt to be funny. Which, obviously, went awry.

I mean, what...a dumb, not-so-funny thing to say, huh.

The guy apologized earlier this week, but some felt his sorry was too little, too late. The damage was done. And the bloodhounds were out.

Now, Ratner was supposed to produce next year’s Oscar telecast, but, in a surprising move, he quit the job yesterday.

I’m a bit mixed on the whole thing because, having met the director a couple of times for interviews, I can say he doesn’t, in fact, appear to have a prejudiced in his body as he said in his apology. He struck me as a gregarious fella, who, clearly, forgot his sensitivity/PC chip at home when he went to do that Q&A. But, again, the damage was done, and this scandal wa’n’t gon’ away any time soon.

Unfortunately, the F word is not the N word is not the K word. Or “sugar tits.” Had Ratner used either of the first two terms I know the outrage woulda been louder, know what I mean. (Click here for some reaction from folks on the inside.)

It was smart of him to take control of the narrative, but I wish Hollywood and everyone who wanted the director’s head on a platter were smarter and recognized what he meant to say as something stupid to say (he so shoulda known better).

Thing is, like I said, the derogatory term Ratner used doesn’t carry the same weight as, say, that racial slur that would have cost him more than a gig.

Update 1: As somewhat expected, Eddie Murphy has dropped out as the host of the 2012 Oscars.

Murphy is one of the stars of Tower Heist and recently struck a friendship with Ratner.

Update 2: A Beautiful Mind producer Brian Grazer has stepped in to produce the Oscar telecast next year.

I hope the show is more memorable than that Best Picture-stealer (Moulin Rouge! so shoulda won instead).

Jessica Chastain is going from It Actress of the moment to It Princess of forever.

The scorching-hot up-and-comer has been cast as the late Diana, Princess of Wales in Caught in Flight, a project about her secret, alleged affair with heart surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan, whom she met in 1995 and supposedly carried on until the time of her death.

Oliver Hirschbiegel (Downfall) is set to direct the “love story between a princess locked in a tower and an ordinary man,” which will shoot on location in Pakistan, Angola, and France.

Friendly, Handsome Doc

Cheyenne Jackson has scored a regular gig on TV.

The Broadway vet and recurring 30 Rock and Glee guest will co-star opposite Nathan Lane in a new USA Network comedy from Douglas McGrath.

Jackson will play a doctor who befriends Lane’s character, an unlucky actor, after the latter arrives back in his Texas hometown to care for his ailing father, portrayed by Ken Jenkins (TV’s Scrubs).

I have been waiting for this for a long time and could not be happier for my Chey.

Yeah, I know I don’t know him from Jack on the street, but I feel invested enough in the guy’s career to stake a claim.

Will Do

Rihanna and Drake may have dated – or not...theirs is a relationship that always struck as more significant to the tabs in the wake of her post-Chris Brown media blitz – but one thing’s for sure: the pair makes nice music together (hello, “What’s My Name”).

Now, RiRi and Drake have collaborated on this new track called “Take Care.”

I’m not sure if this is the follow-up to “We Found Love” as a single off her upcoming Talk That Talk, but I’m rather enjoying the track’s mid-’90s South Beach vibe, alright.

Hippie Rekindling

Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston are reuniting in Wanderlust, a.k.a. the movie that brought the actress to the arms of Justin Theroux.

The pair plays a couple that moves from the big city into a commune after going broke.

Hilarity wants to ensue in this new comedy from director David Wain...but I don’t know...I don’t know. I don’t know:

Look out for Wanderlust next February.

And How Was Your Weekend?

Lindsay Lohan went to the big house over the weekend – but don’t worry, girl’s already out.

L2 surrendered last night around 8 o’clock or so to begin serving her latest, month-long stay in jail...but the Teflon beeyotch was released less than five hours later due to overcrowding.

Now starts the hard part of her sentencing, though.

If she doesn’t keep it together and f---s up again, as it’s been her wont, Lohan could face up to 270 extra days in jail, which in her case would translate to, what, 45 hours, give or take, if she’s really unlucky?

’Cause if we’ve learned anything about Linds it’s that chances are to her what lives are to cats.

M2 Wants Her Director

With one of summer’s breakout roles (in Bridesmaids) still fresh on our minds, an Emmy for her work on TV’s Mike & Molly, and a critically acclaimed SNL hosting debut under her belt, Melissa McCarthy is Hollywood’s latest It Girl.

And I likey.

The actress is enjoying her newfound clout and putting it to good use: She’s talking to director Tate Taylor (The Help) about helming her comedy passion project Tammy.

This a story McCarthy first developed during her time with the L.A.-based Groundlings and follows an overweight woman who has just lost her job and who finds out her husband is cheating on her. So, to cope with it all, she decides to hit the road with her drunkard, trash-talking diabetic grandma.

And they say originality is dead in Tinseltown. This just goes to show ya that is not true.

Be Afraid, Turkeys...Be Very Afraid

Lady GaGa’s gotten herself a Thanksgiving TV special, and if I was a turkey, I’d duck and cover (because I’d have a good memory and remember that meat dress).

The entertainer’s 90-minute A Very GaGa Thanksgiving will air on Nov. 24 and feature eight performances as well as an interview with Katie Couric taped at New York’s Sacred Heart Catholic School, which was attended by the singer way back when she went by a different name.

And just to get in the spirit of the season (more?), Mother Monster will perform some of her current hits, as well as classic Christmas tunes.

Of course, she will also update folks on her recently launched Born This Way Foundation, so keep your ears peeled for that good stuff.

The Return of Ingo

Who here remembers TV’s Titans?

I’m sure not a whole of people do, but that soapy confection NBC offered up at the beginning of the 2000s was a guilty pleasure of the first and most-short-lived order.

One of its stars was that hottie Ingo Rademacher, who went back to the soap world (General Hospital) after Titans got the axe.

Now the actor is flirting with primetime once again and headed to Hawaii Five-0 to guest on an ep slated for early next year, playing the dad of a kid being held hostage on a highjacked school bus. Thing is he may have had something to do with the crisis himself.

Ooh....

I kinda like that Rademacher is looking at nighttime now that General Hospital is shutting down.

Oh...the show is still on? My bad.

Anyway, he’s som’in’ to be seen, no?

Take It All

Ryan Seacrest wants to own Hollywood, and he just might.

The golden man is diving head first into the movie-producing pool, and he’s going big because he so doesn’t wanna go home.

To that end, Seacrest is co-producing a rom-com with none other than Reese Witherspoon, who knows a thing or two about the genre. The project in question? An untitled story written by writer Krista Vernoff (TV’s Grey’s Anatomy).

Good starting pedigree, Ry.

I should do this entirely in Spanish, but half of ya would, Cómo?

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly thisclose to inking a deal to star in her first movie franchise as Carmen Sandiego, the heroine of the Where In the World World Is Carmen Sandiego? cartoon and game show.

Alright, so she may not star as the popular and elusive character, she definitely would have a hand in developing and overseeing the project.

This could be an exciting and stylish and globe-trotting, not to mention lucrative, gig for La Lopez, if handled properly.

I am cautiously excited.

The Wildest Party of 2012

Holy smokes, y’all: Hangover director Todd Phillips is overseeing the rager to put all ragers to shame for next March.

The filmmaker has produced a low-budget comedy titled Project X, with no-name stars, that follows the one-night adventures of three high schoolers who throw a party in order to woo some girls and up their popularity.

What happens, of course, is the shindig gets massively outta control. And that’s when the fun really starts. Check it:

Project X will hit theaters on March 2.

Girl Will Be an Action Woman Soon

Noomi Rapace, thestar of the Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, is ready for her next role.

The actress, who’s playing the female lead in next month’s Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows, is teaming up once again with her Dragon Tattoo director Niels Arden Oplev for the thrilling actioner Dead Man Down, which is to co-star Colin Farrell.

She will play a seductress bent on revenge against an underworld crime boss.

Production is set to begin early next year.

Simply Irresistible, Pt. 79

Next month, Jeremy Irvine will become a star thanks to Steven Spielberg’s War Horse.

So get used to seeing the young Brit on and off the screen.

In fact, the up-and-comer has been busy keeping busy after working with S2, playing Pip in Mike Newell’s upcoming adaptation of Great Expectations, opposite Ralph Fiennes and Helena Bonham Carter, and completing work in Now Is Good, which co-stars Dakota Fanning, Paddy Considine, and Olivia Williams (The Ghost Writer).

Now Irvine has booked another high-profile project, The Railway Man, a in which he will play a young Colin Firth.

The drama is based on a memoir by Eric Lomax and follows the British officer’s account of his forced labor on Japan’s Death Railway during World War II, the woman he loved, and the torture he endured by the Japanese for being (presumed) a spy.

Naomi Watts is going to suffer in her next movie.

The Oscar-nominated actress will co-star opposite Matt Dillon in Laurie (Sherrybaby) Collyer’s Sunlight Jr., as a convenience store clerk who finds out she’s pregnant...and then loses her job.

Dillon will play her paraplegic husband.

Going Indie

Much was done about a meeting Twilight Saga star Taylor Lautner took with director Gus Van Sant and screenwriter Dustin Lance Black recently (were they – gasp! – trying to pick him up? were they giving him advice on – double-gasp! – coming out?), but it seems the entire thing was about work.

So down, boys.

Lautner is set to produce and star in Van Sant’s still-untitled new indie based on a New Yorker article the actor himself optioned.

What...a shrewd move on Lautner’s part. He needs to prove he can act, not just emote like a hot wolf, and Van Sant sure has a knack for getting the best out of young Hollywood.

Consider my curiosity engaged.

Here Comes Booking Photo No., Uh...What Is It Again, Linds?

Lindsay Lohan got 300 days today.

Alright, so she actually got a month in the big house, for admittedly violating her probation in her DUI and shoplifting cases, and another 270 days of tightrope-walking if she wants to remain a free woman.

Up first, though, she must surrender for her fifth incarceration by Nov. 9.

Of course, she probably will serve a beyond-ridikolous fraction of those 30 days due to overcrowding, even though the judge said she should spend the entire month behind bars.

The fun for L2 will begin afterward, when she must stick to a pretty strict schedule of compliance with her community service and psychotherapy sessions.

The way the judge outlined her requirements is sooo organized I can’t imagine Lohan will be able to walk the line the way she needs to – she just doesn’t have the support system she should to get and stay healthy (Dina Lohan’s a f---in’ joke...and the holiday parties are a-comin’).

Sad how I’ve lost all faith in Playboy’s latest Bunny. I used to be her biggest fan....

Could Warrior breakout Joel Edgerton be the next Gerard Butler?

Well, maybe.

The Aussie actor is in talks to star in 300: Battle of Artemisia, a sequel to the 2006 hit that made Butler a household name. (The Scot can’t star in the follow-up since his King Leonidas died at the end of it, y’ see.)

Edgerton would play Themistocles, the famed archon and general who led the Greeks to victory against invading Persians in 480 BCE.

The Winehouse Legacy

Amy Winehouse is pulling a Tupac.

An album featuring previously unreleased songs by the late singer will be released posthumously on Dec. 5, so we will get to hear that voice once again.

The CD titled Lioness: Hidden Treasures will include alternate versions of some of her classics, some covers, and new compositions including her duet with Tony Bennett.
