The Gossip Girl alumnus has landed the lead role on a new potential ABC drama by that title that shall co-star Delroy Lindo and Don Johnson.

The show will examine what happens after the biggest oil discovery in America history triggers a geopolitical shift and a major economic boom in North Dakota on a scale not seen since the 1840 California Gold Rush.

Crawford will play an ambitious fella who, together with his wife, ventures to the Bakken oil fields seeking fortune at all costs.
