Ready to Get Down

Eva Longoria is getting her groove back.

The Desperate Housewife is getting her post-divorce life back on track with a reported new boyfriend (Eduardo Cruz, brother of one Penélope), a new, very lucrative contract to stick with her hit show for a bit longer, and a new role in an upcoming comedy.

Longoria has been cast in The Baytown Disco, a project revolving a gorgeous woman who convinces three hapless redneck brothers to rescue her son from what she calls an abusive ex.

Billy Bob Thornton is set to co-star, playing, presumably, one of the three men.

Up next for the actress, though, is the Andy Garcia-co-starring Cristiada, about the Mexican Cristeros War; Without Men, another Latin America-set war drama; and Days of Grace, a Mexican-set drama.
