Katherine Heigl is returning to the tube, although, well…it’s not TV the actress has her sights on – it’s HBO.The former Grey’s Anatomy doctor will produce and star in an original movie based on Ann Hood’s best-selling The Knitting Circle. The semi-autobiography revolves around a mother mourning her young daughter and struggling to keep everything together (including her marriage).
Playwright Craig Wright (the man behind the short-lived TV guilty pleasure Dirty Sexy Money) is handling the adaptation.
