Happy G.P.

Gwyneth Paltrow is returning to McKinley High tomorrow night, to help celebrate Glee’s 100th episode.

And the actress is bringing the “Happy” with her when she does.

Yes, G.P. is channeling the Pharrell within her for the special episode, which will feature Chace Crawford and past guest Kristin Chenoweth (pictured here with my girl Gwyn).

Click here to listen to her clap along, yo.

Chace Toward Glee

Anyone who reads the gossip magazines knows that Chace Crawford and Matthew Morrison are like, BFF.

Wink, wink.

Anyway. It should come as no surprise then that, at long last, C2 is set to guest on M2’s Glee.

Crawford has landed a non-singing-as-of-now part on the show’s upcoming 100th episode, which also will mark the return of several original cast members (like Dianna Agron, with whom he’ll be paired), as well as MVGS likes Gwyneth Paltrow and Kristin Chenoweth.

The landmark 100th episode of Glee will air in two parts in March.

Demi Lovato Goes Gay

No Heather Morris? No problem.

Ms. Santana is getting a new love interest in the form of Ms. Demi Lovato on TV’s Glee next season.

Indeed, as confirmed by the fan-favorite character’s portrayer, Ms. Naya Rivera, out on the red carpet at the MTV VMAs last weekend, Lovato will guest on the upcoming fifth season of the show as someone Santana & Co. will meet in New York.

The two are expected to sing “Here Comes the Sun” on the upcoming Beatles tribute episode.

Glee to the Stage

Glee has gone from being on everybody’s lips to barely discussed and back – but not for the happiest reasons lately.

So let’s focus on the good for a change again, OK.

The musi-com has transcended its reach from the tube into the recording and touring industries, and now it is set to expand into theater.

Indeed, a Fox exec has revealed that a live stage musical based on the Ryan Murphy feel-good show is in the works.

No time table for a curtain call was shared, but given that Glee has at least two more seasons to go on television one could guess that Glee: The Musical could debut in 2015.

The Monteith Effect

The show must go on, and it will over at McKinley High.

The producers, cast, and crew of TV’s Glee have decided to deal with Cory Monteith’s untimely death head on, with a tribute episode this fall.

Slated for the upcoming fifth season’s third week back, the ep will deal “with writing Finn out of the show” and may be an art-imitating-life scenario that sees the character dying of a drug overdose. So we’ll probably see the actor and Finn via never-before-seen footage or outtakes.

Now, I haven’t really watched the show since the very beginning of the third season, but I think this would be a bold and surprising move. Bold because, well...if the exit’s handled poorly – which it won’t   the turn of events for the character could be perceived as insensitive, and surprising because I don’t think Finn’s storyline had taken a druggy turn, right?

Again, I breathe a sigh of relief in knowing that Ryan Murphy & Co. will do nothing but their best to honor their fallen friend. As Fox President Kevin Reilly told reporters at the network’s Television Critics Association Summer Tour yesterday, “Cory was a big, open, wonderful life force. Everybody loved him.” (Click here to see how Lea Michele remembered her late boyfriend earlier this week.)

To boot, drug-related PSAs featuring Murphy and members of the show’s cast will air during the hour to raise awareness about substance abuse and about resources available to those who need them.

On a related note, Reilly also revealed that he expects Glee to end after its sixth season.

“Never say never, but [that is the plan].” he said. “If we discover a new crop of kids and there’s some breakout we like.... Right now[, though], we’re thinking two seasons and conclude.”

If He Had Glee (He Will)

The world of TV’s Glee is getting Glambertfied.

It was announced this week that Adam Lambert has signed on to star on the show’s upcoming fifth season.

Btw, lotsa change is coming to McKinley High in the fall.

For one, original cast members like Heather Morris, Amber Riley, and Mark Salling will be seen even more sporadically on the show, while some of the new kids...well, the actors playing them – duh – have been promoted to regulars.

And for two, you know: New people, new storylines and stuff.

Stylin’ Teach

Sarah Jessica Parker is full of Glee.

The actress – along with Kate Hudson – will lend her considerable star power to the hit TV show this fall when she plays Isabelle, Kurt’s (Chris Colfer) new mentor.

From the looks of it, the lady will be oh-so-stylish (must be those Anna Wintour-designed SJP outfits will be rocking, yo).

Now, while Glee’s upcoming season premieres on Sept. 13, Parker will make her debut a couple of episodes later. So stay tuned.

Kate Full of Glee

From the (first) looks of Kate Hudson on Glee, the sexy she brought to silver screens Nine was just a preamble.

And I likey.

The actress will be guesting on the show as Cassandra July, a NYADA dance instructor of Rachel’s (Lea Michele).

Unlike the roles she usually taken on, though, Hudson’s latest character is described as a bit of a witch with a B.

“She has her own demons,” said Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk. “She works by negative.”

Sounds like not a lot of fun...but, then again, lots.

Anna Wintour Is Feeling the Glee

Looks like Anna Wintour is jumping on the Glee bandwagon.

How very several seasons ago of her....

It’s true, though, and she’ll be working with the show because of Sarah Jessica Parker, who’ll be appearing on the still-popular-right? TV show this fall.

Show creator Ryan Murphy tweet-confirmed the news when he revealed that the Vogue editrix will be designing costumes for SJP’s character.

That’s quite the score, Gleeks!

An Aussie for Rachel Berry

Things are looking Aussie-hot for Lea Michele next season on TV’s Glee.

Her Rachel Berry is getting a new young man to go crazy for her, an upperclassman at NYADA to be played by Terra Nova star Dean Geyer, an up-and-comer also known for his run on Australian Idol.

When Glee returns, it also will introduce the younger half-brother of Puck (Mark Salling), a bad boy who will try out for New Directions.

She Sings, She Dances...She Glees

Kate Hudson showed us what she could do when it comes to dancing and singing, getting up and doing her thing in Nine, and now the actress is taking her act to...Ohio?

Well, to the Ohio of Glee.

Actually, who knows if Hudson will end up in the Buckeye State. She definitely will be on the show for a bit, though, for she has signed up to make a six-episode guesting arc next season. Sarah Jessica Parker also will be appearing on the musical, which marks her first foray back to the tube since Sex and the City left HBO, if memory serves.

Glee’s Chris Colfer confirmed that both actresses will be playing mentors to a couple of characters on the show, which is also prepping a second Britney Spears tribute now that it is moving to Thursday nights where it is being paired with The X Factor (mmm, I wonder why).

A Gleeful Ahead

Ooh, childs
– Lindsay Lohan is totally into this comeback of hers...so be darned, alleged driving incidents.

Evidently, the remember-she-was-an-actress is in serious talks to play herself on the Nationals episode of TV’s Glee.

Guess all is forgiven – the powers that be notoriously had Gwyneth Paltrow’s Holly Holliday slam L2 on an ep last seaon – and La Lohan is moving forward with her life.

Good next move, girl.

And best of luck to ya on seeing that Elizabeth Taylor Lifetime biopic happen!

Photo: OnlineTV-blog.blogspot.com.

Update 1: Consider this done: Linds has been cast. (Yay.)

Update 2: Whoopi Goldberg also is set to guest on the show, as the New York professor evaluating Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) as they audition for NYADA.

Bomer for Blaine

So much for not having guests on this season, Glee (coming up next are Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, and Pitbull, plus Brian Stokes Mitchell and Jeff Goldblum as Rachel’s gay dads).

TV’s musical juggernaut has nabbed one of the medium’s most addictively watchable stars, Matt Bomer (from USA Network’s White Collar and the upcoming Magic Mike) to play the older brother of Darren Criss’ Blaine.

Bomer is expected to make his Glee debut in April.

Update: Wanna know what the brothers will likely be singing?

The Papas of Rachel Berry

The powers that be over at Glee have cast Rachel Berry’s (Lea Michele) always-mentioned-never-seen gay dads, and they will not be played by Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig (as I have envisioned...GTS, too).

No, since one of them had to be African-America (a fact that always escaped me), the proud papas will be played by Tony Award-winning Broadway vet Brian Stokes Mitchell and Jeff Goldblum.

And the two have already been on set. Check out the pic Michele tweeted of the three of them. Could she look any more chuffed about her new co-stars?

Puck Welcomes Ricky

It
’s official: Ricky Martin is smoldering the halls of McKinley High on TV
’s Glee as “the hottest Spanish teacher ever in the history of Ohio.”

Check out the pic that Mark Salling, a.k.a. sensitive bad-boy Puck, tweeted last night of him with his “nuevo hombre.”

If only the show were going in that direction....

Just a Voice

Helen Mirren will be heard, not seen, on TV
’s Glee.

Wait, what?

The Oscar winner is going to guest on the show’s first episode back in 2012, but she’ll only be providing the “inner voice” of a character that has not been revealed yet.

My money’s on Heather Morris’ Brittany.

Ha!

Mirren joins a growing list of top-shelf guest stars that includes Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan, and Pitbull.

El Hermano

That Santana (Naya Rivera) on TV
’s Glee sure has a star-studded family.

Not only are the show’s powers that be courting Gloria Estefan to play her mom (oh, I think they already got her), they also want Pitbull to play her older brother.

Miami in the house representin’!

Btw, Ricky Martin was originally supposed to appear on the same episode as Estefan (and now Mr. Worldwide, too), but the Puerto Rican hot dish will get his own ep in January, while his Latino counterparts will be featured later in the winter.

And, on a related note, producers will be casting Rachel’s (Lea Michele) previously unseen gay dads pretty soon.

So exciting, especially because in my head I picture Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig – who looked so good playing opposite each other on Broadway, in A Steady Rain – in those roles.
