Brad Pitt is joining BFF George Clooney at March 3’s West Coast reading of 8, Dustin Lance Black’s play about the Prop 8 trial.
And the actor’s playing a big part to boot – that of U.S. District Judge Vaughn R. Walker, who found the measure to be unconstitutional after presiding over the 12-day public trial.
Pitt joins a star-studded cast that also includes Martin Sheen, Christine Lahti and Jamie Lee Curtis as a lesbian couple, Matthew Morrison and Matt Bomer as a gay couple, as well as Kevin Bacon, Jane Lynch, John C. Reilly, James Pickens Jr. from Grey’s Anatomy, and Chris Colfer from Glee, among others.
The play will be simulcast on YouTube.
8 will tour the country throughout the year, but don’t expect the same celeb star power to accompany the production when it comes to a city near you, though. This particular cast is only expected to work together this weekend.
