Jane Fonda is taking over cable.

Well, no...not really.

The actress is joining the cast of Aaron Sorkin’s new HBO show t.n.a. Newsroom, playing the corporate-titan-esque CEO of the parent company of the cable news network the action will follow.

Jeff Daniels is set to play the network’s star anchor, while Emily Mortimer will portray his new executive producer. Among the staff will be Alison Pill, Olivia Munn, Josh Pence, and Dev Patel.
